BLOOD  DRIVE

Colored Droplets

In response to the global shortage of blood donations due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Saath Youth partnered with Red Cross Australia for the Saath Youth Blood Drive .

During the first two weeks of July, individuals had the opportunity to give to those most vulnerable in our community by donating blood and plasma in staggered groups of 5 at the Red Cross Liverpool Lifeblood Centre.

I

where DID my blood go?

After collection and processing, donations are shipped directly to hospitals in NSW. There, donations are used in transfusions for patients with serious traumatic injuries, cancer, chronic illnesses, anaemia, blood disorders and many more. Plasma transfusions are used specifically in patients facing liver failure, severe infections and serious burns.
